0% Credit Card

A 0% credit card is a credit card which offers a rate of 0% on purchases and/or on balance transfers for an introductory period, which can be for up to 16 months before reverting to the card issuers standard variable rate. With a 0% credit card you can save substantial amounts of money either by making a purchase, of say a flat screen TV or holiday, and paying it back in installments interest free, or by transferring the balance from another credit card and saving interest for the duration of the introductory transfer period.

Generally every time you transfer a balance, there will be a handling fee charged by the credit card company, which will be around 3% of the value of the balance you transfer.
