The Barclaycard Platinum credit card has announced a new introductory offer on balance transfers and now offers 0% for 17 months on balance transfers, with a 2.9% handling fee, and a typical 16.9% APR variable. The Barclaycard Platinum credit card is a Visa credit card and is available online.

In addition to the introductory offer on balance transfers, which is now the longest introductory balance transfer offer available in the UK market, the Barclaycard Platinum credit card also offers an introductory rate of 0% interest on purchases for 3 months from account opening.

The Barclaycard Platinum credit card is also offering £20 off your balance transfer fee when you apply to transfer £3,000 or more by 31st January 2011. The Barclaycard Platinum card comes with Barclaycard Freedom rewards programme where you can earn while you shop at participating retailers and also has contactless payment technology, a quick and easy way to pay for purchases of £15 or less.

The Barclaycard Platinum credit card is available online to UK residents who are aged over 21 years old, have a good credit history and who have a regular income of more than £20,000 per annum.
