Barclaycard Balance Transfer Fee Discount

Barclaycard have extended their discount offer on balance transfer fees until the end of February 2011. Customers who apply to transfer £3,000 or more to the Barclaycard Platinum credit card are eligible for a £20 discount on the balance transfer fee. The Barclaycard Platinum credit card offers 0% for 17 months on balance transfers, with a 2.9% handling fee, and a representative 16.9% APR variable. The Barclaycard Platinum credit card is a Visa credit card and is available online.

The normal fee for moving a £3,000 balance to the Barclaycard Platinum card would be £87, so the discount offer would reduce the handling fee to £67. To be eligible for the discount fee offer the balance transfer must be for one transfer of £3,000 or more and this must be applied for before 28th February 2011.

In addition to the introductory offer on balance transfers, currently the longest introductory balance transfer offer available in the UK market, the Barclaycard Platinum credit card also offers an introductory rate of 0% interest on purchases for 3 months from account opening.

The Barclaycard Platinum credit card is available online to UK residents who are aged over 21 years old, have a good credit history with no history of bad debts and who have a regular income of more than £20,000 per annum.
